Xintong Shang was born in Baoji, Shaanxi. He obtained his Bachelor's degree at Sichuan University in pharmacy. In 2023, he arrived at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry to undertake his Master’s degree. Outside the lab he enjoys playing video games.
