Jia Qiu earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Kuiling Ding. Following this, Dr. Qiu conducted postdoctoral research in Dr. Kuangbiao Liao's group at Guangzhou Laboratory (2020–2023), focusing on high-throughput experimentation and machine learning-assisted organic chemistry. Subsequently, Dr. Qiu joined Professor Martin Burke's group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2023–2024) as a postdoctoral researcher, where their work centered on automated iterative cross-coupling reactions utilizing TIDA-boronate for modular small molecule synthesis. In 2024, Dr. Qiu joined Zuo's group as an assistant researcher, focusing on automation and AI-enabled advancements in organic chemistry.
