Yifan Gong was born in Shanxi, China. He obtained his master’s degree in East China University of Science and Technology in 2016. After his Master’s, he decided to pursue his Ph.D. degree at Fudan University where he worked on controllable novel luminescent materials based on aggregation induced luminescence. In May 2024, he joined the Zuo group as a postdoc to work on the photodegradation of polyurethane materials. Outside of the chemistry lab, Gong enjoys traveling.
