Jianbo was born in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. He obtained her Bachelor's degrees at Beijing Institute of Technology in chemistry. In 2017, He went to ShanghaiTech University for a master's and doctoral program and he joind the Zuolab to work on visible light catalysis via new methods. Outside the lab, he enjoys table tennis, badminton and hiking.
