Ren was born in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province. She obtained her bachelor's degree at Hebei University of Economic and Business. In the summer of 2023, She arrived at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry for a master's degree. She is studying organic chemistry and photocatalytic applications as a graduate student in Zuo's lab. Outside the chemistry lab she enjoys playing basketball and hiking.
