En Cheng was born in Huaibei, Anhui. He obtained his Bachelor's degree at Anhui Normal University in chemistry. After his Bachelor's, he decided to pursue his study in organic chemistry; in 2023, he moved to shanghai to pursue Master's at ShanghaiTech University. Outside the chemistry lab he enjoys reading and listening to music.
